SUMMER SUGGESTIONS
Since our students have made such wonderful progress this school year, we want them to maintain the prerequisites for the next grade, and "hit the ground running" in August. In an effort to help them avoid the "summer slide", we would like to make the following suggestions.

  • Summer Bridge workbooks, which are available at every grade level through Amazon.
  • Teachers will be sending workbooks and ideas for summer enrichment.
  • Encourage your child to read every day.. and everywhere! Send us summer pictures of your child reading- at the park, at the pool, on vacation.
  • Incentive prizes in August for all students who meet the summer goals set by their teachers!!!

DATES TO REMEMBER:

  • Wednesdays and Thursdays through May 2- State Testing continues for grades 4 and 5
  • Saturday, May 4- 6:30-8pm- Mother Son Glow Party
  • Sunday May 5- 10am Mass- Second Grade First Communion
  • Wednesday, May 22, 2024-Spring Program for PreSchool-5th Grade.  All students will be expected to attend.  There will be a matinee performance in the early afternoon.  Look for more information to come home next week.

ED CHOICE EXPANSION SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE
A few families have had questions about what their award for the coming school year will be. If you are applying for a renewal of your application,  your income level will remain the same .  Within each income level, however, ODE has several levels of awards.  Some families are checking their online portal and finding they will be awarded less than they received this year and some a little more.  If you have not completed the renewal application for your Ed Choice Expansion Scholarship and sent it in with a current proof of address, please do so as soon as possible.  This will allow me to get it uploaded into the system and within a short time you should be able to go in and see the amount you will be awarded.  If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll work with ODE to find the answer for you.
