St. Bernadette Catholic School, a vibrant K–8 Catholic school in Lancaster, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated part-time Latin teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to join our growing classical program.

As we expand our school, we want to emphasize language as the foundation of literacy, logic, and critical thinking. Our students study Greek and Latin roots in grades 4–5 and receive formal Latin instruction in grades 6–8.

We are looking for an educator who inspires students through engaging instruction, fosters critical thinking, and cultivates a classroom rooted in Catholic values.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will:

• Teach Greek and Latin roots (Grades 4–5) and Latin (Grades 6–8)
• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to support students’ academic and spiritual growth
• Foster a classroom environment grounded in virtue and respect

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment
• Provide support for diverse learners and adapt instruction as needed
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications / Requirements

• Hold an appropriate Ohio teaching license (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one prior to teaching
• Experience teaching Latin preferred
• Complete the Diocese of Columbus online teaching application
• Satisfactory BCI and FBI background checks
• Completion of or willingness to attend VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training
• Catholic preferred but not required
• Support the mission of Catholic education

Position Overview

The kindergarten aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to support daily instruction, assist students, and help create a positive, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
• Work with small groups and individual students
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines
• Help supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, and recess

St. Bernadette Catholic School is seeking a warm, organized, and mission-driven individual to serve as our Director of Enrollment & Family Engagement. This full-time role works closely with school leadership to welcome new families, support current families, and grow our vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for prospective families
• Schedule and lead school tours
• Manage applications, enrollment, and re-enrollment
• Coordinate transfer of student records
• Plan and lead Open Houses and recruitment events
• Build relationships with local preschools and community partners
• Assist families with EdChoice, Jon Peterson, and tuition setup
• Support billing processes and FACTS SIS

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and comfortable with technology
• Experience in admissions, customer service, or school settings preferred

The ideal candidate will work closely with the student, teacher, and school staff to ensure the student is supported academically, socially, and emotionally within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized assistance to the student throughout the school day
• Supporting academic instruction as directed by the classroom teacher
• Assisting with behavior management and social interactions
• Helping the student stay organized and on task
• Offering encouragement and guidance to foster independence and confidence
• Communicating effectively with the teacher and administration about student progress and needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma (required); college coursework in education or related field preferred
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly valued
